One of Pharrell's first world-wide #1 hits as a co-producer came with Britney Spears' single, "I'm A Slave 4 U". There are reports that he has been stood up by Britney twice in recent days ( as a producer, not personally ).
I think the potential for success, both critical and popular, probably far outweighs the inconvenience of a less than functional client. Gwen Stefani is the most recent high profile success that Parrell is attached to. Her stuff is bananas.
