Bitter:Sweet Hype

This is a sponsored post.

Bitter:sweet, released their debut album, The Mating Game, on March 7, 2006. The album was both a critical and a commercial success.

Kiran Shahani and Shana Halligan are both awesome musicians. Kiran’s playful arrangements and Shana’s sultry, jazzy vocals appeal to fans of Portishead, Zero 7, Serge Gainsbourg, Everything But the Girl and Björk. I just did a web search so I could put that little two dot thing over the 'o' in Björk, now that is dedication.

Shana previously performed a duet, “Waiting Here” with Serj Tankian of Rage Against the Machine which was part of a recent Buckethead album. Buckethead does not have any funky punctuation or accents in their name and if they did, I would not go looking for them. I am not saying I don't like Buckethead I am just saying they disturb me a bit. Some people like to be disturbed.

Bitter:sweet have also have been featured in The Devil Wears Prada, Grey’s Anatomy, HBO’s Entourage, and upcoming film D.O.A.

I will not make a joke about Bitter:sweet getting their colon checked out while they were involved with Grey's Anatomy. That would be wrong...And lame.

The primary purpose of this post is to get the word out about the new video for “The Mating Game,” the album’s first single. The partially animated short includes cameos of both Kiran and Shana and was directed by Jason Cook.

You can go and Watch "The Mating Game" video at YouTube. Here is a picture of these two.
