The lines in this song from the turn of the century clearly delve into the subject of depression. There is a part where Britney's semi-autobiographical character receives what appears to be an Oscar. Given her lack luster dabbling in acting, that makes her seem a bit delusional. I don't remember any nominations for Crossroads, but it was a long time ago. Reprising a Ralph Macchio role was quite a challenge.
